What is Omega 3-6-9? It is an optimum-ratio
blend of three beneficial fatty acids Omega 3, Omega
6, Omega 9 . This balanced fatty acid fomulation combines
the ideal ratio of naturally therapeutic oils extracted
from Borage, cold water fish and flax seed. Omega 3
and Omega 6 are essential fatty acids and Omega 9 acts
as nutritional support for the function of the essential
fatty acids. The primary food sources of Omega 3 oils
(other than above) are sardines, herring, mackeral,
bluefish and salmon. Omega 6 is found in evening primrose
oil and black current oil. Borage oil is considered
the most highly utilized and readily absorbed source

What
are Essential Fatty Acids and where do they come form?
There are Essential Fatty Acids (E.F.A's) and nonessential
fatty acids. The non essential fatty acids are made
by the body from carbon, hydrogen and oxygen atoms:
not so with EFA's.

Fatty Acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids and we must
directly obtain them from our foods or supplements like
flax seed oil, wild fish oils, sardines, mackeral and
black current oil. Omega 9 oils are present in olives,
almonds, sesame seeds, avocados, hazelnuts and the pressed
oils from these foods.

are Essential Fatty Acids good for you? Contrary
to the bad press that dietary fats have received for
a number of years not all fats are bad. Omega
3-6-9 oils are classified as "good fats".
